ptimizing for a search engine’s algorithm is a fine balance between reactionary strategies and proactive expectations. To prepare for the algorithm changes expected in 2013, Zeus Design, a Rhode Island-based SEO web design company, has focused on the proactive half of that balance by completely redesigning their company’s website.

(PRWEB) January 24, 2013

With over twenty years of operational experience, Zeus Design, a Rhode Island web design firm, understands that today’s competitive search engine optimization market leaves little room for errors or inconsistencies. After all, failing to comply with a new search engine algorithm change can drastically reduce a website’s search rankings, sometimes with near-permanent negative effects. To prevent this from happening, companies must be willing to revolutionize their online presence, both on the front- and backend.

However, rather than react to search engines, Zeus Design took the proactive route by redesigning their website to anticipate the search engine algorithm changes expected in 2013. The company examined current and past search engine trends to look for evidence of where and when companies like Google or Bing decided to change the way their algorithms worked. After much research and internal debates, Zeus Design overhauled every part of their website, from the code to the content, and one team member had the following to say on the topic:

“Google is the king of online advertising, and complying with their guidelines is crucial for succeeding in the search engines. The problem is, reacting to their algorithm changes, like last year’s huge Penguin and Panda updates, can cost a lot of time and money, which can put a lot of pressure on an already taxed company. We believe that by taking the proactive route we’re attempting to head off the SEO problems that are bound to occur during the upcoming year. Google is going to change their algorithm, there’s no denying that, but we don’t want to sit around and wait for it to happen. We examined our data, saw a trend occurring, and then took to putting in place a plan to ride that trend before Google even makes it an actuality.”

Starting New for the New Year

Google’s algorithm changes are only one part of the volatile nature of the SEO web design industry. According to the aforementioned Zeus Design team member, much of the company’s redesign choices also came from current and upcoming design or development trends. “We converted our website to a WordPress platform, which gives more dynamic capabilities and user-friendliness,” said the aforementioned Zeus Design team member. “We also made our content in general less spammy, and more organic and natural, targeting users as much as the search engines. It’s a fine balance, after all.” He explained that Google’s official guidelines are only some of the rules that a search engine optimizer must follow. In fact, there are numerous unofficial rules floating around the SEO industry, all of them important for the success of a website. Which rules Zeus Design chose to follow with their redesign, they will not say: “Just know we made our code compliant and our content sharp.”

In a World without Rules

As any search engine optimizer can attest to, search engine optimization is the Wild West of the online world. Outside of Google’s brief descriptions about each algorithm update, much of the job is left to guessing, waiting for data, and then creating a theory based on that data. There are no rules for what’s right or wrong, and often when someone finds a rule, Google soon changes it with a new update. Quite simply, the life of search engine optimization is one of reactionary adjustments, but Zeus Design believes their recent redesign will be the start of their proactive pursuit for more effective, faster search engine optimization results.

If you or someone you know is in need of web design or development services, or search engine optimization, please visit Zeus Design at http://www.seowebsitedesign.com/. Their expertise on the matter makes it easy for any company to climb the search engine rankings.

Google, Facebook and Twitter’s decision to establish their European bases in Dublin has opened the internet giants up to EU defamation and privacy laws like never before, a libel lawyer has warned.

The world’s biggest search engine and the social networks’ presence in Ireland will also enable lawyers to sue the companies on behalf of clients abused by anonymous bloggers and tweeters according to Paul Tweed, the Belfast-based libel expert.

Tweed, who has acted in libel cases for Jennifer Lopez, Harrison Ford and recently The X Factor judge Louis Walsh, who accepted damages €500,000 (£421,000) from the Sun, said it will be the likes of Google, Twitter and Facebook who will pay the ultimate price for the “abusive, anonymous blogger in his underpants”.

He added that his law firm, Johnsons, has recently sent warning letters and emails to individual bloggers and tweeters who have abused journalists and politicians. Johnsons has also sent warnings to the relevant internet servers providers.

“We will send a ‘take down’ notice to either Google, Facebook or Twitter and we get various responses. Two or three years ago our demands for ‘take down’ notices were largely ignored by the likes of Google who are based in Seattle and could quote us back the American constitution,” Tweed said.

“In those days we used to tell our clients ‘look, even if we get a judgment we are not going to be able to enforce it’. Because US courts would not enforce them and our clients basically had to turn the other cheek.

“Now the whole landscape has changed. The massive game-changer is that the likes of Facebook, Twitter and Google have established European headquarters in Dublin and in doing that they have subjected themselves not only to Irish defamation and privacy laws but also those EU laws on libel and privacy. That means they are potentially a target because they are providing anonymous abusers on line with a platform.”

The libel lawyer revealed that about 60% of the cases he is currently dealing with are connected to the online abuse and alleged defamation of his clients. The majority of the clients are Irish and British journalists, Tweed added, although he would not disclose any names.

“There is a big, big problem here with regard to online abuse and libel because once the privacy horse is bolted you can’t put it back in the stable,” he said. “In the past a newspaper like the News of the World, when it printed defamatory material about a client, could be forced to print an apology that was proportionate to the damage done to that client. With online this defamatory and often threatening material is passed on within seconds around the world. Once it’s out there it’s out there for good somewhere.”

Tweed denied that he is seeking to curb internet freedom and insisted that he was creating a “deterrent” to those who use social media and other online outlets to spread fear and falsehoods about individuals.

“I love newspapers and I admire real journalists. They put their names to stories and stand up to be counted if they get it wrong. These guys blogging away in their underpants in their mammy’s attic spreading lies about people – some of them dedicated, hard-working journalists whom I know personally – have to be held accountable somehow,” he said.

“These guys in anoraks are the playground bullies of the internet and the only way to deter them is to make the platforms they use accountable. If these internet behemoths are not held accountable for the actions of these abusers, law, and I would argue genuine journalism, will collapse.”

At Barg Sabz Web Designing Company we build dynamic websites – sites which constantly adapt to user input and allow for extensive content management by site administrators. Regardless of the amount of information on a page, the design should adapt, maintaining its professional appearance.

The Site Container:

For a dynamic site to work at all it needs a solid base. A height-flexible container encasing the content of the site is a perfect foundation. Something as simple yet as effective as a black border with a consistent site-width will set the inner content apart from the page background. This container can expand or contract height-wise to naturally accommodate different amounts of content.

Navigation:

One of the best ways to maintain dynamic and functional site navigation is by using drop-down menus. Drop-downs allow for specific site navigation from any page on the site, and are easy to dynamically produce, employing the same logic as the site container.

Main categories are each wrapped inside a relative div so that each can be assigned an absolutely-positioned, hidden submenu which will appear upon mouse over. This method is best for dynamic sites because the height can increase or decrease as the number of submenu items increase and decrease without affecting the overall layout of the site.

Too Much Content (We should all be so lucky):

A constant challenge facing dynamic site developers is displaying a wealth of content in just one page. Often times, layouts are optimized for a specific amount of content, and if they exceed that amount, the pages will appear crowded and jumbled.

One of the best methods of alleviating this problem, ensuring a usable and SEO friendly design, is combining JavaScript and DHTML to create tabbed browsing within pages.

Examples of this can be found at Ugallery.com, an online art gallery, where a page was created for users so that they could display as many pieces of their artwork as desired without exceeding the fixed site width. The solution was a scrolling gallery powered by JavaScript and DHTML. All of the information is still rendered in the source, however, much of it is hidden, to be revealed when a user mousse over a scrolling arrow button.

The same basic function was employed for the artist’s profile. The height of the container was constrained, and so, a profile was placed within a scrolling DHTML text box, making use of the “overflow:hidden” style, and affording artists more space to describe themselves.

The artist’s current portfolio, their exhibitions, and a visitor commentary section also had to be incorporated on one page. The solution: Tabbed JavaScript and DHTML navigation which better organized space and allowed the visitor to toggle through the artist’s portfolio, exhibitions, and visitor commentary without reloading.

The lesson here is when building a dynamic site, make use of advanced design techniques. By using these methods, not only can information be better organized and more intuitively arranged, but it can also be constrained to achieve a consistent look and feel for the site. Also remember that most DHTML mentioned in this article can be found at various open source web sites.

Happy web designing!

Web Designing Services entered inside Afghanistan boundaries just right after the fall of Taliban government in 2001. Private companies established licensing by AISA (Afghanistan Investment Support Agency).

However the quality of service was not as good as of now because on that time we did not have professional web developers and graphic designers. As the flow of returning immigrants started back to Afghanistan, the young generations who had spent time outside the country studying schools, colleges and different professional short courses beside arrived back to Afghanistan.

Many of these newly graduated returning immigrants joint different organizations and many opened their own enterprises in different classes of business.

Currently there more than 100 web designing and web development companies operating in Afghanistan a few of which that comes under the most popular of them are listed below:

Aria Technologies

Net Links Afghanistan

Barg Sabz Web Designing

Lemar Solutions

Bitsoft

Blue Technologies

But, unfortunately web hosting services did not grow in the country due to internet problem and lack of electricity around the country. Web Hosting services companies requires high speed fiber -optic internet and regular electricity currents to start operations.

For the time all hosting services are provided by off-shore international organizations mainly based in United States, United Kingdom and European countries.
